Ujong Batee Puteh, Dramatic Sea Cliffs In Aceh

Ujong Batee Puteh,
The joy of blue and green
Ujong Batee Puteh, Dramatic Sea Cliffs In Aceh - Nothing creates a better “End of the World Experience” than the dramatic coastlines formed by vertical sea cliffs. Standing on top of these tall cliffs, your eyes are met with nothing but the vast expanse of the ocean, huge waves crashing against the rocks below.

Ujong Batee Puteh, Dramatic Sea Cliffs In Aceh

If western Algarve Coast in Portugal has Sagres cliff and France has Étretat, Aceh has Ujong Batee Puteh a dramatic sea cliff.

When you head out to see the stunning cliffs of Great Aceh’s, it can take a moment to realize that not only are you staring across to sheer massive walls of rock that soar to tens of meters high, but you’re actually standing on those cliffs yourself. You know, about a meter from the edge and with nothing between you and a deathly plunge into the deep blue sea.
Ujong Batee Puteh,
You get a sense of this at the top of the cliffs surrounding Ujong Batee Puteh Point, a popular fishing location. If you don’t like swimming or are a little bit cautious of Ujong Batee Puteh’s infamous currents, here’s a little tip: head to the cliffs instead. From here, if the conditions are right, you can do a spot of aerial fishing spotting.

Formerly, this spot was an iron ore mine owned by the Great Aceh government, but now became a tourist attraction.

During our mid-morning visit, the swell was huge, and conditions weren’t right for the graceful beasts to come into the bay. We saw some rubbish from aboard like Penang's mineral water bottle, and I certainly wasn’t going to lean out any further to be sure.

What not to miss

According to Mr. Arie Yamani’s Blog -- any one will do, before visiting Ujong Batee Puteh, know two others spot which near Ujong Batee Puteh. Those are Blang Ulam village and Ujong Teungku (Teungku Cape). It has something to do with how to get there or how the way to look over the deserted beach from the other beach from the other side.

"The access to the location take more than one hour drive from Banda Aceh, while the distance actually is only about 47 kms. At 45 kms first we'll pass paved road, then 2 kms left is rocky road lead us to the beach" said Arie Yamani.

Ujong Batee Puteh,

When to go

June through to August is the southwest monsoon winds season. Ujong Batee Puteh sees its obvious color gradations of the beach on July, a cool tip by Yudi Randa. Ujong Batee Puteh didn’t get the bulk of Aceh's tourism, so you can enjoy it every day.
